The table below contains the following information:

All of the data being collected by Numbrs is pseudonymised and encrypted and is stored in our servers in German data centers which carry the highest security certifications. We encrypt all network communication with SSL/TLS at a minimum of 2048 Bit. Pseudonymisation is the replacing of the name and other identification features with a code (for example, number code) for the purpose of excluding or considerably impeding the identification of the person concerned.

1. Provision of cloud-based server and processing services

Purpose

Personal data is only collected in secure and certified computer centres if the user has given his consent to do so. The data centers are, without exception, located in Frankfurt, Germany.

The data centres are operated by Amazon Web Services, a leading global service provider.

Amazon Web Services is subject to German data protection laws and is also contractually obliged to process the personal data exclusively on our behalf and according to our strict security standards.

2. Creating user accounts

Purpose

In order to use all of the functions provided by the Numbrs App, users are requested to create a user account. A Numbrs user account is crucial to ensure the security of the data.

Account data: The Numbrs user account requires you to provide an email address and a password.

Users can only link their bank accounts to the Numbrs App once they have created a user account. The required account data (e.g. sort code, IP address) is being stored by Numbrs in encrypted format. If the user removes one of his bank accounts, Numbrs deletes all data that can be assigned to this bank account.

3. Current account balance

Purpose

Users can check their current account balance and transactions using the Numbrs App.

Users can store the PIN of their bank accounts in the Numbrs App so that they do not have to re-enter the PIN every time they wish to log into the Numbrs App.

The optional PIN storage function is deactivated when logging in for the first time. Users are free to decide whether they want to use the PIN storage option or not. Users can activate or deactivate this feature at any time.

4. Loyalty Card

Purpose

Users can link a loyalty card to the Numbrs App and use the relevant barcode as a digital copy through the Numbrs App.

The data concerned will be processed for the contractually agreed purposes in order to display the corresponding barcode within the Numbrs App.

Numbrs collects the customer card number for the purpose of providing this service.

5. Financial assets

Purpose

Some of the Numbrs App features, such as the “Analysis” feature, help users to gain a better overview of their overall financial situation and to optimise their expenses. Users can enter and monitor individual saving targets, for instance. Users can manually enter their assets in the Numbrs App for this purpose.

6. Notifications

Purpose

Users can obtain information on their financial situation (such as daily income and expenses, budget alarms, scheduled money transfers and account balance updates) through the “Notifications” function.

This function uses the Apple Push Notifications Service from Apple Inc. respectively Google Firebase Service (also see recipients column).

If you would like more information on how these push services work, please contact the respective provider of this function.

Depending on the operating system of the device, Numbrs sends a notification to the user via the Apple Push Notification Service or Google Firebase Service.

Users can also decide whether the notifications should contain sensitive transaction data or not. In any case, the notification is transmitted in encrypted form.

7. Customer support

Purpose

Numbrs saves the exchange between you and our customer support team, regardless of whether you communicate by email or chat, in order to continuously improve our support services, thus giving users an improved experience when contacting us in the future.

This will allow us to support you better should you have questions in the future. You can, of course, ask us to delete this exchange at any time.

Numbrs uses Zendesk, a technical service provider, to manage the support enquiries.

8. Automatic categorisation of account transactions

Purpose

The automatic categorisation function sorts users’ income and expenses into various groups such as “Food” and “Insurance”. This allocation of income and expenses enables users to optimise their finances and to gain a better overview of their financial situation.

9. Preventing misuse

Purpose

Numbrs collects and processes data arising from the use of the Numbrs App in order to prevent misuse.

10. Improving the functions of the Numbrs App

Purpose

It is our aim that every user can use the Numbrs App at any time, with the best possible quality and with the highest possible security standard.

The service providers Google and AppsFlyer analyse user data if the user has consented for them to do so. Based on this analysis, Numbrs is able to further optimise the functions and the security of the Numbrs App.

You can determine whether Google or AppsFlyer is allowed to collect and process your data in the privacy setting of the Numbrs App.

11. Receiving information on the latest bestsellers and offers per email newsletter or targeted advertising

Purpose

Users can choose to receive information on the latest bestsellers and offers from Numbrs. Numbrs uses the service provider MailChimp for the purpose of providing this service or other advertising networks like Facebook or Google Adwords.
