Numbrs is a leading technology company. Our finance app is one of the most used applications in Germany. The app receives the best ratings on both platforms Android and iOS. In our view, we differentiate ourselves from the competition through our obsession to quality and our cutting edge technology platform. As we have grown as a company, we have also learned some things. One of the things is the increasing potential of hiring engineers remotely.
Although our Zurich headquarters allows us to attract great talent, thanks to its central location within Europe and being one of the leading European Fin-tech hubs, we felt the urgent necessity to hire the worlds best engineers remotely.
Since May 2017 we therefore established a new hub that is less traditional but no less important: Remote. We are doing this to situate product development closer to our users and improve our ability to hire talented engineers living outside of Switzerland.
This intention led to the creation of the Numbrs Campus, a global program designed to scout and recruit top engineers remotely. Today Campus is a strong network of remote employees with experience in transactional systems, machine learning, artificial intelligence, distributed computing…All with a shared passion for building the best mobile banking app.
Our remote engineers are deployed across every major engineering roles and department: Quality Assurance, Support, IT & Security, Backend engineers, IOS, Android and web developers. Numbrs has a tradition of recruiting high-impact remote employees since the inception of its Campus. Key features of the app, of our technology stack, and our culture have been achieved thanks to remote employees.

Global teams for a global company
The Numbrs App is already present in Germany, the United Kingdom with offices in both Switzerland and Luxembourg. Users, with a German bank account, can download and use the app from any country on the planet.
One of our long term goal is to consolidate our global presence. By having more decentralised teams, spanning multiple locations and nationalities, we can make our product more relevant to all users. Different countries means different realities and our remote engineers are the first to observe that. They understand the need to build a product that can run despite slower internet connections, and anticipate the needs of market we have yet to enter.
We aim to leverage our international talent to bring a product that is global but understands local differences when it comes to personal finance.
