Our new app icon

You wanted it, and we listened. Now, we are happy to present you with a new app icon. Simple. Modern. Strong. In this blog post, you will learn why we are changing the app icon and explain the backgrounds.

A new app icon? Again?

Agreed, it was not too long ago that we presented you with a new app icon. Since then, we have received a lot of feedback from our users, who did not get along with the illustrated bank building too well.

“Numbrs is not a bank,” or “… the red is too similar to a big German bank, that you hopefully do not want to be,” or “… that’s not modern” — these are just a few extracts from your feedback. You made us rethink about the app icon and its message. You have made it clear: it does not need a new bank.

Numbrs is not a bank. We want to emphasize this message even more clearly in the future. That’s why we’re changing the design of our app icon from next week onwards.

The new app icon

At the heart of the new icon is the “N” of our company logo “Numbrs.” The name “Numbrs” was deliberately chosen when the company was founded. The app is designed to help all of its users lead a healthier financial life. Finances are numbers, and that should be in the foreground of our app.

If you take a closer look at the “N,” you can even see two wrong “1s”. An interesting side effect of our new app icon.

The new color scheme represents the precise and simple design of our app. Black and white stand for absolute clarity, modernity, and security. For example, you are relieved when the details of an agreement are finally in writing (black on white), or a contract has been signed. A symbol that we associate with Numbrs, and we strive to develop the absolute reliability in terms of quality and safety.

Next week, the new app icon will be available to all our users. We hope that we were able to share our motivations with this blog post and that you like the app icon as much as we do.
