Introducing Homescreen Banner And The New “Available” Feature

As an avid user of Numbrs, you know that we constantly work on improving the app and its set of features. Most recently, we unveiled Onboarding Tips and released Demo Mode. This time, we want to share some new stuff we worked on. And we give a sneak peek into what we have planned.

A small step for Numbrs, a big one for you

There are different kinds of changes an app can undergo. Some are almost not noticeable for the user, the so-called „under the hood“ work. Bug fixes or stability improvements for instance.

Then there are big feature releases. The new stuff that gets all the attention because it introduces something that hasn’t been there before. And then there are the smaller changes in between. We want to talk about one particular update right here.

Right on the homescreen, Numbrs lets you create and manage a budget. With it, you always stay on top of your financials. The „Left to spend“ function provides what it promises. A quick and easy glance at your available funds. The big colourful circle on your homescreen indicates whether you are in the greens or reds. By tapping on it, you can easily change certain variables of your personal budget.

For our next update, we bring some improvements to budgets. Henceforth, it will be reintegrated into Numbrs Report, one of our core features that you can easily access through the bottom navigation. By tapping on it, you will instantly receive an overview of your finances. Further, we decided to rename „Left to spend“ to „Available“, which seemingly integrates into Report as a new card.

Improving the way you manage your finances

Why the change, you might ask. Bringing the feature back into Numbrs Report makes managing your funds even more intuitive. Before, you had two ways to create budgets and check your financial situation. Well, more is not always better, especially when it comes to how you experience Numbrs. Now, you still have a short and easy way to access „Available“ by opening Report right from the homescreen. But everything being under one umbrella makes it easier for you to always be in the know. There is another reason for the name change. While “Left to spend” gave our users the impression to spend the money they have left, “Available” is neutral and more fitting to the many ways you manage your budget.

Oh, and speaking of homescreen. We added something a little extra there as well. Our new homescreen banner will be a source of news and important information. It might tell you about this very blog post right here or informs you about new features and all things Numbrs.

What’s next?

We promised a tiny sneak peek into what we have in store for you. Without spoiling anything, we can tell you that we work hard on improving Neo. As you will know, Neo is our AI that works for you in the background. It is right next to your budget on your homescreen. Neo will also move into the bottom navigation bar and is the focus of our joint efforts. We can’t wait to show you what we have planned. So stay tuned for regular updates. Until then, get familiar with the new homescreen and the Available feature in Numbrs Report.
